Though I did not end up making a purchase due to outside factors, I will recommend Westgate Kia to anyone looking for a new vehicle. I went in originally looking to speak with another salesman that had recently worked with my best friend. Wes told me he wasn’t sure if he was available, and since I could already tell right off the bat that Wes seemed like a good guy, I opted to work with him. He later informed me that the other salesman was available if I was interested— by that point I had a strong foundation with Wes and wanted to continue working with him, but that alone showed me what a wonderful person he was. Throughout the entire process, he was transparent, patient, and seemed genuinely interested in unrelated things I talked about rather than just feigning interest to get a sale. Eventually, sales manager Jake joined us, and I found him to have the same character as Wes. The experience I had at this dealership was a complete 180 from the experience I had at a different one the day before. I was treated like an actual human, they didn’t act like they thought I was stupid, and they stayed level with me even when I kept pushing small things. Naturally, they inquired about a credit application, but I never once felt pressured into doing anything I did not want to do, unlike at some dealerships where a pen is pushed into my hand every 30 seconds.
