Purchase the 2012 Hyundai Sonata GLS car and picked it up on 6/2/2016. The car drove well on the test drive(s) and the day I drove it home. The days following my purchase, I started experiencing brake problems on the car. My sales Charles McCord instructed me to return the car and let their mechanics look at the car. 3-4 days later I took the car back and the mechanic claimed he didn't see or hear anything out of the ordinary. Everything was normal. I told him he was incorrect. I do have enough general knowledge about the mechanics of vehicle to know what is normal and abnormal. The mechanic claimed he "greased the brakes/lubricated them" and turned the rotors. That was incorrect because you can not lubricate brakes..............Give it time and the brake dust should go away. FALSE!!!! Less than a week later, the exact same problem. I take it back again; they SUPPOSED to have put new brake pads/shoes on the back of the car because the sound is louder. I did not have to pay for any labor or parts. But I did pay to have the tires rotated and balanced. Everything sounded and looked good after waiting for hours. Once again,here we are on the 3rd week, I am right back with the same problem again; scrubbing and knocking sound coming from the back of the car.. These mechanics at the dealership are CLUELESS on how to properly diagnosis the problem. I called them on the morning of 6/27/2016; telling David for the 3x time about the problem. His solution was he did not know what to tell me, I was basically on my own. He tells me why don't I take it to a mechanic in NC. What??!!! It has not even been 30 days yet!!! David was sarcastic and did not care about me as a customer and the trouble it has brought to me. He did not care. I told him I had contacted NCDMV and Virginia DMV and my bank about the matter and possibly would be returning the car. He did not care. He told me to do what ever I needed to do. No Compassion at all. DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. My salesman Charles (Chili) was wonderful but the other salesman and mechanics are horrible!!!!
My mother purchased a Toyota Tacoma about a month ago. At the time when we were purchasing the vehicle I noticed there was a nice star in the windshield that is a little smaller then a quarter. Pete the salesman that was taking care of us did not bother to mention anything until I brought it up. While signing the papers for the Tacoma a "We Owe You" ticket was made for the windshield to first be filed and if not presentable then the entire windshield would be replaced. At no time did Pete offer to set up an appointment to have the problems and but instead said if you ever need any service preformed I would hope you would bring it here. Well after messaging Pete on his cell phone the past few days with no answer this is the text we received "I asked about that in service . They told me to check the we owe you and it's over 30 days dated 4/23/16 it was past 30 days the 1st time you texted me . I know your insurance co will fix stars for free. Just have to call . The dealer would only fix what is required to pass inspection only (i.e. Stars)" I am very dissatisfied with this answer. I understand that the car owner need to read over all paperwork before signing but nothing was ever mentioned to us about a 30 expectation. If you want terrible service when buying a car this is the place to go.
Kaitlyn and Charles were really sweet and so easy to work with. They were not pushy at all, and the cars on there lot were in really good condition.
Best car buying experience I have ever had. I happened onto this dealership by accident on the internet and boy am I glad I did. Saw a car I liked, asked a question about the vehicle through the website and got a response from Johann almost immediately. That was after 10pm on a Friday. Met Charles the next morning before 10, the car was all detailed and ready for me to drive. Left a deposit so they would hold the car for me (which they didn't have to do) and drove away in my beautiful, "slightly" used BMW on Tuesday. They were friendly, honest, fair, courteous and extremely professional. The best car buying experience I have ever had. I have to say that in Charles "Chilly" McCord I now have a car salesman for life. Don't hesitate to stop in to Performance Automotive and become a member of the "family".
First, if you are going to be buying a vehicle, you need to go see Mr. Charles “Chilly” McCord. Chilly was friendly, pleasant to work with, straight forward regarding the vehicles in stock, and was not pushy or aggressive in the least. His communications were great and when we wanted to test drive a car; he would always have it ready to go (I tested several cars over several trips to the dealership). Second, if they don’t have vehicle you want, ask them if they can get one. He discussed buying options if Performance did not have a particular vehicle in stock and how they would go the extra mile to get the vehicle I wanted if needed. Lastly, the purchasing process went smooth and relatively quickly. They are able to issue plates which will save you a trip to the DMV. Mr. Tom Greene assisted us with the business side and was very professional as well. Even when I needed assistance over two months after the sale, Tom was willing and able to help out. I would recommend Performance Automotive to anyone and would buy from there again.
By far the easiest and simplest process available i am ecstatic in my recent purchase people were phenomenal and totally put me in charge with no pressure
