Added $6000 service contract to my financing after I told them I did not want any extended warranties

BUYER BEWARE. We are a growing family on a tight budget looking for a minivan. We saw a Kia Sedona at Crain Kia in Fort Smith and they offered us a great deal on our trade in. I drove 4.5 hours with my 5 week old (she's breastfeeding so I couldn't leave her) to trade in our car and get the minivan. I arrived late in the day and my baby was fussy so I didn't get a chance to test drive the car. We relied on the good reviews this place had and the internet salesman, James, to be honest about this car being a good fit for our family. He assured us it was and even said it was in such good condition we could pay a little to make it certified pre-owned. We declined making it pre-owned because we didn't have the money for it but knowing it qualified encouraged us. When I looked in the minivan I could tell it had some powerful air freshener with an underlying odor. The next morning when I opened the door I was almost knocked over by the stench. This must have been a chain smoker's vehicle. It reeks. Every time I drive it I end up with headaches and nausea. My five week old cried most of the drive back, I can only imagine what that smoke exposure did to her tiny body. I have tried all the DIY recommendations - vinegar, leather cleaner and conditioner, activated charcoal, coffee grounds, etc. We talked to a friend who refurbishes cars and he said even an ozone machine wouldn't help. We called the dealership and they offered to have it detailed - which wouldn't do any good because clearly they just had it detailed and worked very hard to obscure the odor so someone wouldn't realize it at first look. My husband is making the haul now to return the minivan. It also has a door that won't properly close - not OK for a car full of little kids. We asked the dealership if they could give us some small compensation for making me and my baby sick and being dishonest about the state of the vehicle. We would never have given this vehicle a second look if they had told us it was a smoker's car. They said no. They claim to care for the customer and do what they can to make them satisfied. They made us sick. And they are not trustworthy when it comes to describing their vehicles. They have a love it or leave it policy or exchange it policy on their website that gave us a sense of security. Guess what? There's fine print that is not on their website that says it doesn't count towards a trade in. My husband called repeatedly, sent email after email, and wouldn't let up until they agreed to give us our car back. This has been an incredibly stressful experience. Never buying from Crain Kia again.

I bought a brand new Kia Forte last November. They falsified the odometer disclosure. The car was listed on the disclosure at having 23 miles on it. It actually had 538 miles. The car was dirty and not detailed. The windshield washer fluid was bone dry. The car was listed with a Crain Kia Dealership discount of almost $3,000. When I got to the dealership, the discount mysteriously disappeared. They are liars and obviously don’t care about having repeat customers. Buyers beware of this dealership!

They sell you a car and then never fix it. The worst service department I have ever dealt with. The intake people are very rude and condescending. They never want to touch your vehicle without you agreeing to pay$180 check out time. Even though my van is still under warranty and I purchase $6400 in extended warranty (they never told me a price just that it's only a "couple extra dollars a month). What a rip off. I will never buy from Crain again and I will tell everyone never buy from them!! It's been a nightmare since the purchase. They take your money and send you on your way. I have other stories about their bad service but this is the most recent!

Bought a 2020 Ford PK, a piece of trim was missing, they said they will fix it. They never fixed it and kept putting me off, I had to by it for $170.61 with no reimbursement!

Terrible communication on the set vice department side. Our 2023 Sorento blower motor went out at 40k miles. Vehicle has been in the shop going on 3 weeks. Very little communication. Will not return phone calls. No loaner vehicle yet. No end in sight.
