What Others Say
his morning, I arrived at the dealership at 7:50 a.m., second in line for service. I asked at intake how long an oil change would take and was told an hour to an hour and a half. By 9:20 a.m., my car still hadn’t been taken back. No one came to let me know they were running behind. When I finally went to ask, I learned that only one service person was working—and to make matters worse, they took the third person in line before me. There was absolutely no communication about the delay.
The customer service was terrible. Even when I called last week to make the appointment, I got the feeling they didn’t care much about the customer. They told me oil changes were first-come, first-served, yet they ignored that order today. I hope this isn’t a sign of what to expect in the future. It will be a real inconvenience if I have to drive all the way to Corpus or San Antonio to service my VW.
PAYNE BROWNSVILLE has outstanding service. David Duran, Service Manager, personally, took my call and personally, set up an appointment for my 2025 ID4 that needed to to get to the dealership asap. I appreciate David taking my call on a Saturday, and giving me an appointment the following Wednesday. My car had an issue that warranted getting to the dealership as soon as possible. I will drive 100 miles round trip & out of the way to get great and dependable service from someone that took my call and was willing to help me.
THANK YOU PAYNE BROWNSVILLE FOR EXCELLENT SERVICE FROM DAVID DURAN, SERVICE MANAGER:)
I love going to the dealership for service. Everything is always so smooth and everyone is so friendly.
Exelent! Every one it's friendly and trate to help you in all you need
I got a new car with 1 mile on it by 480 miles some of the trim was coming off it and the finance people have been missing up on the paperwork they asked if I wanted it on auto pay I said yes gave them my info and going on 2 months they still can't get the paperwork right
NEVER EVER EVEN THINK ON THEM!!
DO a favor and move on from there, why?
Here is my recent story:
I leave 1 * only because I can not add 0
I ordered parts for a few thousands of $ worth, double checked by vin number, also with model, taim year.
2 order was not even close.
I asked them to compensate my shipping also, what was over $100 dollar each time, they said no.
Fine, So send back 2 front fender molding. I bought a box for it, to make sure is fine.
after they received it, 2 weeks later I called them to see what is going on because I don't see the refund.
After over 30 min, the service department manager told me, he is going to call me back in 5 min (that was Friday morning), and of course I had to call him, hold the line for over 30 min on next Tuesday, he promised me they issue the refund.
So because it wasn't true, a few days later called again, and this "nice gentleman" told me, they received only one molding, from the 2. I told him impossible, because is not fit to my car, I personally placed both to the box, and the package is there over 2 weeks, but he told me in a not polite way, he is not going to refund me.
It was an expensive lesson, so do a favor for yourself, and forget this dealership in a big way. I reached out the VW Usa, and they notified the General Manager in this dealership, who also simple doesn't care. I have idea how things goes there after that.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO FIND AN OTHER DEALERSHIP
