Don't know if my other reviews went through but anyway just to summarize what I said in the other reviews-- Liked the salesman, liked the fair price, and we especially like the 2017 "White Gold" Ford Escape SE. It has been a while since we had a Ford and I forgot how solid it is just to close the doors. I guess what the saying says is true. Build Ford Tough Donna & Claude in Huntingburg
I have taken my 2012 Ford Escape to the Sternberg Ford Service Dept. twice now for routine service. Both times the service department staff has been extremely friendly both when making an appointment and while I was there. They are thorough and efficient in the work that they do and they don't attempt to do more work or sell you something that you really don't need. Also, being a novice when it comes to automotive service and repair; they have never acted like any of my questions have been a burden. There is a service station one half mile from my house, but I drive the extra 10 miles; because I know that my vehicle will be in good hands and that's important to me.
Recently my hard headed mother-in-law decided to drive from Tucson, AZ to Nashville, TN and had car problems in Podunk NM. The unqualified individuals at All Right Towing in Tucumcari, NM told her it would be 3 days to get the part from their “parts specialist” and another 2 days to fix the van. I called my local Ford dealer to find the part and was referred to Sternberg Ford in Dale, IN as they were the only dealership showing the part in stock. 15 minutes before closing I spoke with Aaron Seng (hope I am spelling it right Aaron) in the parts department who verified the part number and inventory. Aaron was not only very polite but exceptional in his service. I explained the situation and requested overnight shipping to Podunk, NM. Aaron told me FedEx had already run for the day but that he would be happy to drop it off on his way home. I was amazed! Here is a young man with I imagine quite a full personal schedule willing to go out of his way off the clock to help a customer that he will probably never have contract with again. He even called me back twice for the arrangements, once from his personal cell at FedEx to inform me they could not deliver the part by FedEx’s standard 10 am overnight delivery in that area. The part was correct and arrived 4 hours ahead of schedule the next day to the amazement of the repair shop; they were able to get the vehicle “running” well enough to get it to the next major town and Ford dealership. ***Avoid the mechanical shop for All Right Towing in Tucumcari, NM, fixed the problem but created a bigger one and they rip you off, $600 for a metal bypass hose with no part cost. *** Anyway, Aaron Seng with Sternberg Ford saved the day; professional service, he went out of his way to help me. I wish my local Ford dealer had the quality of personnel Sternberg Ford has, it really made a difference. Thank you Aaron and Sternberg Ford. Mike Sabzali (General Manager), thank you for your staff. People really make the difference. I highly recommend the people at Sternberg Ford.
