What Others Say

I recently bought a Jeep from Kunes….they were great with the buying experience….howere that’s where the greatness ends! I’ve called twice within 2 months of buying the vehicle with missing or damaged items associated with the vehicle both times Noelle the sales person assured me that they were going to fix each separate issues and call me back with the resolution….she has never called me back period!

Buyer beware!! This is the most dishonest dealership I have ever dealt with, and I have bought a lot of Ford vehicles in my lifetime. Max Porter the Sales Manager at Kunes looked me right in the eye, shook my hand and told me he would match another dealerships trade-in offer if I committed to buying a new truck I was looking at right then and there that day, to which I did agree to buy the truck. Only to find out in the end he did the bait and switch and actually gave me $6000 less on my trade-in under the original figure he told me he’d give me as he was shaking my hand. As I sat in the finance office and the paperwork was put in front of me to sign I initially thought in my head that the total amount owed seemed high. But after adding the extended warranty, accompanied with tax, title, and license I quickly figuring again in my head, and thought maybe with adding all that in the total they were saying I owed was actually correct. Once I received a copy of the bill of sale (which was a couple days later) I had time to thoroughly look it over at home. After finding the mistake I called my salesman (Peter Lohmann) at Kunes and questioned him about why the trade in was $6000 less? I also reminded him that he was standing right there when Max Porter (the Sales Manager) shook my hand telling me he would match the other Ford dealer’s trade-in offer. Pete told me; yes he did remember that Max offered me that. Pete told me to stay calm and that he would look into it and get back to me. Later that day Pete called me back and told me that he had talked to higher up management and he was told that the deal was final, and that I agreed to that price. (Which I did not) I again reminded Pete about the hand shake where Max told me he would match the other Ford dealer’s trade-in offer. Pete said yes he was right there and witnessed the offer, but again he had done all he could, and they said the sale was final. Wow, just wow! Huge mistake on my part for trusting Kunes Ford of East Moline, and not reviewing the bill of sale a lot closer before signing on the line. Do not make the same mistake I did. They cannot be trusted, and when caught lying to you, they will do nothing to rectify the situation.

Service department sucks say they will call you back and don’t called 3 times and all 3 times said they’d call me back so I stayed up hours waiting for a phone call before calling again and getting told they are gone at 5:30 I called 9 in the morning would expect to be treated great after spending 84,000 would never recommend this dealership

I have not had a car for 28 plus years; so It is crucial that a car with an economical size with all the features is quite important to me. I would prefer to get a used car with the economical requirements that are needed for my needs.

I want to thank Justin, he was a great sales man and extremely helpful. Vincent on the other hand was the exact opposite. Vincent is the reason I did not leave with a car today and he totally waisted my time.

Blair’s in the service department at Kunes in East Moline was a great help! It’s a 1 stop shop when you get your car serviced. We went in for an oil change and they discovered a recall, and fixed it all in one visit. We are very great full for the amazing help that we received!
