Bait and switch/false advertising. Dealer sends me coupons but does not honor them despite the email stating "For your vehicle (and my vin number indicated there)." This is going on for 4 years now and not once have they honored their coupons. I am done with the lies. I will seek another dealer that is honest and does not play that bait and switch/false advertising game with the consumer. Diagnosis information in regard to tires and brakes stated that my front brakes and front tires have less wear than my rear brakes and rear tires. Everyone knows that the front tires and brakes always wear faster than the rears. Incompetent service people. The paperwork also stated the oil type used and that was wrong oil for my vehicle. Stay away from this dealer if you want good competent service.
I took my car for recall to Champion Ford in Erie Pa on 12/29/2023. Ford technicians called first time to replace rear brakes and pad that I agreed to it and they charged premium price compared to any other garage in the area. Second phone call was to replace struts and tires that were still under warranty and quoted $900 for struts and never asked for price on tires. They also charged diagnostic fee $143 for nonexistent issues. I refused struts and new tires and took to garage that replaced both not even year ago and both were in good working condition and not needed replacement . I felt like Champion Ford took advantage and still were trying to get even more money. I wouldn't recommend anyone to take vehicles for any car issue as they showed intent to overprice services and misrepresented cars problems.
I excitedly ordered a brand new custom Ford Maverick through this dealership and paid my $500 deposit. The wait time to receive this highly sought after truck was over a year. Thankfully Ford continued to keep me updated on the build and shipping of the truck because the dealership never did. When I finally received an email from Ford that my truck was delivered to the dealership (a year later) no one from the dealership called me. When I called the dealership I got the run around and I knew something was not right. When I finally spoke to the salesperson I worked with she could only apologize and tell me there was a mixup and my truck was already sold to someone else. When I was finally able to get ahold of the Sales Manager Mark Winkler Jr., who was avoiding my calls, he gave me the same xx apology and actually tried to tell me about another truck they had on the lot. I am so disappointed in this business and the entire waste of time process that was my experience with them. I had to call and request they send me my $500 deposit back which I have yet to receive. I have never in my life had such a terrible experience with such an anticipated purchase. What kind of dealership sells a customers custom ordered vehicle and never even calls them- a greedy, shady as xxxx one. DO NOT purchase a vehicle from Champion Ford Erie on W 26th.
They charged me $440.51 in labor to upgrade the computer system on my Volvo. When I questioned this, they reduced it to 389.32. I checked with the dealership in Buffalo where I purchased the car and they would have charge me $179.00. PLUS someone drove my car 11.7 miles. I have a dairy app installed on my phone. When I phoned them the next day, they would not back down and became belligerent. Do not go here.
I have been a customer of Champion for over 15 years and the team there always takes care of me during my service visits for all of my vehicle needs. They are the best and am confident in their recommendations to maintain my vehicle quality.
I have a Ford. I was calling around to price replacing my headlight bulb. Of all places this Ford dealership was going to charge me over 300 dollars to replace a bulb because they had to partially detach my bumper. The second place I called was Firestone and they will do it for $75. I’ll still call around. But those 2 prices already is a huge difference.
