What Others Say

I purchased a new Ford from them and went back every year for an inspection, tire rotation, and oil change. The year before I had new brakes and struts put on that they did. Two weeks earlier for the inspection I put four new tires on. They took my car in and two hours later they said I needed new struts and brakes that were a year old and saying B.S. like the rear wheels are frozen up and the car won't move. (I drove an hour to this dealership). Then a car salesman comes up to me an offers a trade in deal for 500 hundred dollars and wants me to look at a new car. My 4 year old vehicle with 24 thousand miles on it. I just left and went to another dealership in Rochester NY. It passed with flying colours. Avoid this place like the plague is my recommendation.

Great experience buying a 2020 Elantra. Great staff and a great. Manager . Thank you and keep up the great work

Take business elsewhere…SHADY PEOPLE! Worst business I’ve ever been to. My husband and I decided to try and take our business out of town to see what else was out there besides what we have locally. I was in contact with Simmons in Elmira about a vehicle we were interested in, but with a newborn, traveling that far was out of reach for us. So we decided to try Hornell since it’s only a 45 minute drive. We test drove a new Ford Edge and we were planning on trading my 2016 Jeep Cherokee in. We loved the Edge because it was so roomy and had a lot of safety features. We go inside to talk numbers and my husband said he didn’t want them to run his credit, but to give a ball park of what we would be looking at(mind you all the other dealerships we’ve been to have done that for us), but these guys, oh no—you literally have to let them check credit even before they give you what they value your trade in. We let it go. The sales “professional” came out and said we are going to give you $8,000 for your trade. We should’ve just walked away at that point because $8,000 for a Jeep that is in excellent condition whereas other dealerships were going to give me $16,000. After trying to get them to negotiate trade, it took my husband and I saying that the Elmira Simmons offered me $14,000 for my Jeep, for them to come up to $12,000 and to tell me “someone made a mistake and told you wrong because we were told only between $11,000-13,500 for your trade so we will meet in the middle.” Even when I showed them the messages from the Elmira dealership—they tried to cover up what was already told to me. Again, should’ve walked away at that point, but we didn’t because we liked the car so much. So we wait another hour to get an answer about credit approval and the sales “professional” comes out and says,” I’ll have to call you tomorrow because no bank wants to work with the deal.” We go home & get no response from anyone the next day so I reached out and it was the same response, “we couldn’t get anyone to want to work with us on the deal. Sorry.” A day later we went to Paul Brown in Olean and got a 2021, $16,000 on my trade and EXCELLENT customer service. Oh and mind you, every bank wanted to work with us on the deal. Point is, make sure you steer clear of Simmons! I believe they have to pay people to say great things about them because what we experienced was by far from great! This dealership need to learn customer service and people skills.

I went on internet and looked at a 2021 Raptor that was in transit to Simons Rockwell. I decided that I was going down to dealership to get some numbers on the Raptor. When I arrived at dealership the salesmen got paperwork together and brought it out to me to look at. The 1st thing I noticed is that they increased the price by $2000 from what they had on internet. There was about an 75% chance that I was going to purchase the Raptor but when I seen the increase of $2000 it totaly turned me off and turned around and left dealership. I am not into dealerships that want to play games. Hope this info is Helpful
