What Others Say

Towne Ford both in the Sales department and Service department needs a complete overhaul. Tried to purchase a new F150 in 2020, told the staff what I was looking for, left them my business card. Never got back to me. Bought from another dealer. Now recently in service, I had an appointment for tire replacement and alignment. Dropped the truck early, 4 hours later they started and were unable to complete the alignment, telling me I needed to reschedule. Left an email with the GM, and four days later, NADA.

I really wanted this to be a 4-5 star review since we ultimately did buy our car from Towne Ford. My husband and I had been searching for a used Kia Telluride when my brother found a 2021 low-mileage model at a good price on CarGurus. We called to confirm it was available and decided to head over. We spotted the Telluride right away, and David offered us a test drive. We loved it, especially since it was nearly identical to our 2020 but with fewer miles. The listed price was $31,998, which seemed fair at first, but we quickly noticed that 3 out of 4 tires were cracked and needed replacement. David initially told us all 4 were new, but after checking, he admitted only one had been replaced. Since I've worked at Tire Warehouse and Pep Boys, I knew what I was looking at. We asked for $1,500 off to cover the tires, but they refused, so we walked away. After negotiating with David throughout the week, we finally reached an agreement. When we came back Thursday to finalize the purchase, David was off, so Kevin assisted us. He was friendly and helpful, but the paperwork still dragged on for two hours. Bass, one of the managers, handled the final signing. To our disappointment, the car wasn't washed or filled with gas, something most dealerships typically provide. The reason for my 3-star review is what happened next. We were told the vehicle had passed a full inspection and that all services were up to date, but as soon as we left, an alert showed the oil change was overdue by 1,200 miles. At first, I thought the sensor just needed resetting, but when I checked, the oil was dark and clearly not fresh. I called immediately, but since their service department was closed for the weekend, they promised to follow up Monday. No one ever did. When I called again, the phones disconnected multiple times, and when I finally reached someone (who never gave their name), they sounded irritated with me. No apology was offered, and I was simply told to take it to their local SpeeDee Oil Change. Since I was in Union City, I asked if I could go somewhere closer, but they said no. This left me frustrated. I was told all inspections and services were done before a sale, yet that wasn't the case here. Between the misleading tire claim and the overdue oil, I don't feel I can fully trust this dealer. I do appreciate Kevin and Bass's service and the deal I got, but overall, my experience leaves me hesitant to return.

The Maintenance Service or Service department when bring your vehicles in is horrible. One of the worst cases happened to my 2024 Bronco Black Diamond Sasquatch. So I bring it in on a recall notice that I have. Since I was bringing it in I told them that the signal switch/control arm is sticking when I make my right turns, turning the left signal light on as the steering wheel comes back to a straight position. Alex my service advisor told me it will need to stay over night you should pick up by tomorrow. For Recall and fix. Tomorrow comes and I get a late text at end of work day saying that the Bronco need to stay due to part being in. Never advised me of the recall situation, so I said okay. 3rd day. 3rd day I called in sent a text. No reply and no answer back after I left Alex a message. I called 3 times with no reply or updates even after I talked to someone. Got no updates what so ever and my vehicle is now 3 days. 4th day comes along and I called in and still no answer after I talked to someone and they could not tell me of what is going on with my Bronco. Finally get a text late morning saying they got the part for the signal light issue and it should be ready. So the time comes to pick up my vehicle and it was so dirty after I left it cleaned and washed so I know when I left it nothing was wrong cosmetically. Due to the extreme amount of dirt due to all the construction going on right next door, I wasn’t able to notice anything really wrong. All looked fine. Switch operated fine. Now they just told me the recall was never performed due to the shocks not meeting recall requirements. Okay, so why the need to keep my vehicle. I could have picked it up and brought it back another time for switch replacement when part arrived. Well it didn’t matter cause they had it for the 4 days. So I took the Bronco home and decided to wash the vehicle. As soon as the water started to rinse the Bronco the scratch on the rear passenger window appeared. I saw a straight line going straight down the rear passenger window and I got heated. No way was that there when I dropped it off. It was all that dirt sediment that accumulated for it being parked on their dirt area of lot. Due to it being the Labor Day weekend I called the next day Saturday. No answer. Sunday I called twice no answer and left messages. Monday a holiday no answer. Finally Tuesday comes and called and I got a hold of Alex. He told me due to it not being reported after 3 days they may not be able to help. I said are you kidding me it was a Hokiday weekend and there was no response. So he told me to bring it in and that is what I did. He saw the scratch and their guy Francisco was looking it over hoping they can polish it off. Nope. It was a hard deep scratch and could not be removed and needed to be replaced. I told them this happened under your care and this need to be replaced. Alex told me no worries we will get the process going and get it replaced. Took some pictures. Then he texts me saying they need the Bronco for more pictures as they need to open it up to see if there is any damage to the track and that the track may have caused this. After The first discussion we agreed it had to be a granule that caught in the weather strip and scratch the glass, but he insisted that they needed to open the Bronco passenger door to look at the track. So I dropped it off again and this is my 3rd time there as I am seeing they are giving me the run around. He texted me saying that due to the track being fine and no damage that they couldn’t replace the scratched rear window. I told Alex that he knew and I knew and there guy Francisco knew that it was all the dirt sediment due to it sitting out their for 4 days. Alex told me he spoke to the manager and Ford and because it wasn’t the track they couldn’t replace not replace it. So I called Ford Customer Service to open a case and file the complaint of this unprofessional Service Department at Towne Ford. Terrible

* Poor after-sale service * Unkept promises (unclean car, no follow-up) * Disappearing communication after the sale * Eroded trust and unwillingness to return We worked with David Rocha at Towne Ford to purchase a King Ranch. While he was able to get us a decent price, the experience quickly soured after the sale. The vehicle was delivered without being properly cleaned, and when I reached out to schedule a detail and ask a few follow-up questions, David completely disappeared. During the sales process, he was incredibly responsive—replying almost instantly. But once the deal was done, that attentiveness vanished. It says a lot about his integrity and only reinforces the stereotype of salespeople who care until the papers are signed. Towne Ford is not a dealership I’ll be returning to. The lack of post-sale service and accountability just isn’t worth it.

We were very fortunate to be referred to Jorge Ibarra-Bravo at Towne Ford, when we were initially planning our camper van build, by the project manager for the company who did the Quigley QLift suspension upgrade. Until recently I've always felt trepidation when buying a new vehicle. Since I was a child I've viewed car sales people with concern that they would try to push extra features and try to get more money out of me than I wanted to spend. Friends warned us how they had to pay several thousand dollars more for their Sprinter when it arrived than was in the original contract. Dealing with Jorge changed this perspective for me. Jorge was super helpful and knowledgeable when it came to the various options and packages for our Ford Transit custom order. We had done about a month of research and spoke with a fleet dealer in another state who had a number of vans on his lot ready for build outs. This person was always in a rush and didn't seem to have time for our questions. When we spoke with Jorge he had the opposite attitude.  He is calm, patient, always had time for our questions and found solutions as we corresponded with the outfitter who was going to do the camper build. We needed information about wiring harnesses and electrical connections to place the correct order and Jorge ensured we got what we needed. We had to wait 3 months for our order to be built by Ford. Jorge kept us informed when the van went into production.  When the van finally arrived we were surprised that the year end discount was even more than Jorge had told us we could expect.  By this point I had become convinced we could completely trust Jorge and he did not let us down. Jorge is a kind and sincere person with a lot of experience with Ford. I don't think one can find a better sales person and we highly recommend him if you are looking for a vehicle.
