What Others Say

This has been, without a doubt, the most frustrating, disappointing, and costly car-buying experience I have ever had. Koons of Culpeper has shown zero remorse or accountability for the nightmare I have been put through. The initial issue with my car was the transmission shifting strangely. Rather than properly diagnosing the problem from the start, your service team simply changed the fluid, told me to drive it, and assured me it would be fine. That was not the case. When I brought it back, I was finally told that the transmission itself was the issue—something that should have been caught the first time. Instead, I was forced to wait over four weeks for the repair. How and why did it take that long? The only conclusion I can draw is that my car was simply not a priority for your dealership. Now, after finally getting the car back, there is yet another issue—a loud clicking noise when turning the vehicle. This was not present before you had the car for over a month, but now I’m expected to risk driving it over an hour away just so you can “look at it” again? What happens if it breaks down on the way? And given my past experience with your service department, why would I trust that this won’t turn into yet another weeks-long ordeal—or that yet another mysterious issue won’t suddenly appear after you’ve had it again? On top of that, I am now being forced to pay over $200 out of my own pocket to diagnose this issue because Koons of Culpeper refuses to take responsibility. You do not care. You do not stand behind the vehicles you sell, and you certainly do not stand behind your customers. One would think that since this dealership carries the Koons name, you would have the decency to work with another Koons dealership closer to me so I could at least have this issue addressed without yet another major inconvenience. But apparently, customer service and integrity do not matter here. While I understand this is an individually owned location, if you’re going to operate under the Koons name, you should be held to the same standards of service and conduct. This entire situation has been an absolute disgrace, and I expect a real solution—not just another weak excuse or empty offer to “look at it.” I have been more than patient, and I refuse to be taken advantage of any further.
