What Others Say

I purchased a used 2018 Honda CR-V from this dealership and drove about an hour and a half to get it. At the time of purchase, there was no disclosure whatsoever of any smoke or odor issues with the vehicle. I did not notice the smell immediately during the buying process, but shortly after taking ownership it became very clear that the vehicle has a strong, persistent smoke odor. This is not a minor issue. Had I been informed beforehand that the vehicle had a smoke smell, I likely would not have made the trip or purchased the car at all. I believe most buyers would feel the same. Transparency before the sale would have allowed me to make an informed decision. Since discovering the odor, I have gone to extreme lengths trying to resolve it myself. I have spent many hours disassembling interior components, removing panels, dropping the blower motor, cleaning the HVAC system, cleaning behind trim panels, and running multiple chlorine dioxide (ClOâ‚‚) odor treatments. I have spent hundreds of dollars on professional-grade products and an entire day of labor attempting to eliminate the smell. Despite all of this, the odor remains. When I contacted the dealership, the response was disappointing. There was no meaningful attempt to take responsibility or provide a reasonable solution. The amount they were willing to offer did not even come close to covering the cost of the products I purchased, let alone the significant time and effort involved. A simple partial concession at the time of sale, even a few hundred dollars, would have gone a long way. Instead, I was left to deal with a problem that should have been disclosed upfront. This experience has left me feeling misled and frustrated. I expected honesty and accountability from a dealership representing a premium brand, and that expectation was not met. I am still seeking a fair resolution, but based on my experience, I cannot recommend Acura of Lafayette to anyone looking for transparency or post-sale support.

Very helpful, courtesy, pleasant to work with and speedy with information. Will definetly use them again in the future.
