What Others Say
Bait and Switch Run!!
Hyundai Motor Corporation should be disgusted with Jenkins treatment of their Brand.
Jenkins Hyundai of Jacksonville Tried to sell us a Hyundai Tucson SEL advertised for 25,175 for 37,452.62.
WE IMMEDIATELY WENT TO HANANIA’S IN JACKSONVILLE, after the following experience at Jenkins.
Is Bait and Switch Illegal?
We were suckered in by Jenkins internet advertisement:
We went there to look at one of 4 Hyundai Tucson SEL’s listed for 25175.00 They said they would bring one of them up front for our test drive. After 20 minutes they told us they couldn’t find any for us to test drive. They were all “Other Places”
Then they told us that if we would agree to their prices they “might be able to find one for our test drive”
We said sure, show us the cost so we could test drive a car.
Here is what they gave us.
Market value selling price. 33,220.00
Discount 6,885.00
Adjusted price 26,335.00
JPP 2863.00
Dealer Installed Options. 3787.00
Total Purchase 32935.00
Taxable fees Estimated 455.50
Pre Delivery Service Fee 1199.00
Tax 2150.37
Non Tax Fees 712.75
Balance 37,452.62
37,452.62 for a car advertised at 25,175.00 that they wouldn’t even let us see or test drive until we agreed to their Numbers.
Over a 12,000.00 price difference between their advertised price and what we were offered when we arrived at Jenkins? Is that Bait and Switch?
We asked what the JPP fee was and they told us they needed to add a warranty to the 100K bumper to bumper warranty that Hyundai provided, because the Hyundai Motor Corporation warranty was not good.
We asked about the Dealer installed options for a car they hadn’t showed me, and they told me that was required because the Tacoma SEL’s weren’t equipped with what was needed,
We IMMEDIATELY WENT TO HANANIA’S IN JACKSONVILLE. We test drove several Hyundai Tucson SEL’s and picked out the one we wanted For A Great Price! No “JPP” No “Dealer Installed options”
We asked HANANIA’s about their “JPP FEE” and their “DEALER INSTALLED OPTION’S” and they were confused. They said HANANIA’S doesn’t operate that way. They said HANANIA’S sells great Hyundais for Great prices. And they were Right!
We got an amazing price on our new Tucson at HANANIA’S.
Hyundai Motor Corporation should do better with their dealerships.
If you find yourself working with Sean Namin (salesman), and Ron Baraso Jr (General Sales Manager) his boss at Jenkins Hyundai in Jacksonville you deserve what you get.
General Sales Manager Ron was especially disgusting. I asked if he could do any better on the car he wouldn’t show us, and he crossed out the JPP fee and wrote the same number next to it. I’m sure He had a great laugh after we left.
We should have looked at their reviews before almost becoming their next victims.
We had a Great Experience at HANANIA’s
Caution working with this dealership.
I went in for a Labor Day Sale (I knew I shouldn't have). On their website for one of the 2025 Palisades, they are advertising $52,414 for their sale price (of course this sale depends on meeting certain requirements), which the MSRP is at $57,120. I sat down with the sales associate, and he showed me the write up and pricing. $62,500 for the new vehicle, -$28,000 for my trade in, and then $5000 for all of the fee's, taxes, and add-ons. OTD price roughly $39K+. The dealership added $10K back to their sale price and $5K for taxes/fees. I asked him how the price went up and he mentioned that it was from all of the extras the dealership had added onto the vehicle.
Walking out the door, the sales associate stopped me and said that he was able to take a little more off, which he was able to get it down to roughly $27K.
This dealership is exactly why I shop around the net for multiple dealerships not in my area, and why I drove 3 hours away for my last two vehicles. For a similar vehicle, I have already received a OTD quote for $17K but is a 5-hour drive and I received a $20.5K quote for a 1-hour drive. I rather not take a long drive, and I rather shop local, but I also want to be treated fair.
Dennovan gave excellent service in helping me get a brand new car! Thanks a lot!
They are currently curbstoning at the VyStar and old bells parking lots. It makes it a hassle to enter the bank because of all the cars that they park there. Sell your cars at your dealership.
I am still upset about what happened the last time I brought my friend’s car here days ago. The….”service”…that I received from this place was not good at all. I am currently doing an investigation and research into this dealership. They are charging people way too much for simple jobs. There are many other car service centers that charge less then this does. I recommend that NO ONE bring vehicle to this place for repairs.
Dennovan helped me find my new 2025 Santa Fe! Dennovan and Victor worked together to make sure I was taken care of. They were friendly and knowledgeable and helped us navigate during and after buying! Would definitely recommend Dennovan if you're in the market or searching for a new car!
