What Others Say

I’ve had a disappointing experience with the service department at Colonial Subaru. After bringing my 2015 Outback in three separate times for an issue with hesitation when accelerating at lower speeds, especially during turns, I’m left with the same unresolved problem and a $2400 bill. Despite their efforts, the service team replaced parts—like the ignition coils—that did not seem necessary, as my check engine light never came on, and the repairs failed to fix the issue. I’ve also grown increasingly skeptical of their explanations. For instance, they once claimed that too much oil in the car was causing the problem, even though the hesitation occurred both before and after an oil change. It’s frustrating that after multiple visits, I still don’t have a solution. I would have appreciated an honest admission that they didn’t know what was wrong, instead of being led to believe each repair would resolve the issue. Unfortunately, I can no longer trust in the quality or transparency of their service, and I regret relying on them for this issue. This experience has been a costly and disappointing lesson for me.

I have been going here from day 1, bought my car here. Recently I took my car to get a oil change, tire rotation and inspection cost me $168.00 it was outrageous what they charged me, didn't tell me it would cost that much in advance either. I will never go back again. Biggest rip off I have ever seen.

I am having the worst service experience here, my Outback went in for repairs 3 weeks ago and no one in the service department can give me a trustworthy update on the completion of my repairs, they can’t even give me a date for completion, I have no confidence that repairs done here will be done well as they all seem to not have a clue, and the standard of service to a paying customer is extremely poor

Zero Stars. I would not recommend using the service department at this Subaru location. I was in VA traveling and due for my 60K mileage. I made an appointment and dropped my car off for service. I paid my 1K and went on my way thinking I was taken care of. As I made my drive back across the country to TX I noticed something’s were not right. What I noticed to make me question them doing the work was my tire pressure. I took it into my local dealership to where I bought my vehicle to verify what I was charged for was done. CMA Colonial Subaru charged me for a rotate and balance on my tires, along with everything else included in the 60K when in fact they did not provide that service. I know that because I had my front driver tire plugged before my drive to VA and when I got back that same tire was in the same place. Another thing they charged me for, to replace my air filter, they did not because I have an after market filter on my car. Let me also say there is a difference between a new spark plug and a spark plug that has 60K miles on it, which I can provide a picture of because those 60K spark plugs are still on my car. Many more things are included in that 60K maintenance that I paid for that I did not get. Make it right and give me a refund so I can actually pay for services to be rendered.

From sales to service, this is the Subaru dealership to go to. I recently purchased tires for one of my Subarus that I bought from here. The price was competitive compared to other local tire specialty shops. These people are professional, polite, and the service was performed quickly.

Just would like to say this is strictly for the service department! Mindy is a xxx I took my car in April to get a diagnosis due to my transmission having problems… I finally took it back to potentially get it fixed! I was told they had a new mechanic, and I would get a free diagnosis this time due to the circumstances. I then was told they wouldn’t rebuild my transmission that I’d have to just do a swap, which is xx because the last mechanic was definitely going to rebuild it. She found a Transmission told me the total would come out to $5,000 not including a warranty! I then asked about a rebuild because that price was ridiculous!! She said that it would be the same price for the rebuild which there is no way in xxxx that’s adding up! I called an actual Transmission shop and they even said they were full of it, and it’d be best to take it to a transmission shop…
