I had a great experience buying my first car from Northstar. I was contacting Mario through email prior but he was previously engaged and Blake jumped right in to make sure I was taken care of. My mom and I had a great time chatting away with Blake and Angela all throughout the test drive and financing. The 2015 Nissan Sentra was in beautiful condition and they had already put in so much work to make sure it was in perfect driving condition and even handled a part that had a recall on it. I couldn’t have wished for a faster or smoother buying process, can’t recommend them enough !
I contacted them and was told they would get back to me. I'm still waiting.
So glad to have our service transferred to Kelly Chevrolet, as per the GM higher management. They were actually appalled at what has transpired at North Star . The service department there is a joke and very demeaning to women in general. My husband has purchased several gmc trucks from Northstar. His HD Denali was leaking in the back window and when replaced, they scratched the truck, the window, and left a ghastly caulk line all around the back window...which is still leaking. Yes, my husband is meticulous with his vehicles, but with the price that is being paid...a certain quality is expected. When I picked up my husband's truck and asked why it was parked extremely close to another vehicle...I could not even open the door to get in..."Will" rolled his eyes at me, chuckled, did not even answer my question, and stomped off to move the truck. I would not send my worst enemy to Northstar for any service. It is such a shame because the sales department works so hard. But unfortunately sales are nothing if there isn't a service department willing to back up the product. Take your business elsewhere!
After having a previous bad experience I gave them another opportunity to work on my truck. I needed to replace my windshield so I took it to the shop and then called my insurance company. I called the dealership before anything was billed to let them know my insurance was going to cover it. The dealership then charged me an extra service fee for calibrating the windshield in addition to the charge for the windshield replacement
Was told no accidents truck was wrecked. Brake problem. Wouldn't fix the problem. I live 111 miles away. When I had an opportunity to stop they would NOT honor there commitment to fix it.
Was an overall excellent experience at North Star Buick GMC. Even when we had to go back there because of a mess up with paper work. They made it worth our time to go back there to resign 2 papers
