After my 10 year old car required sudden major repairs, I found myself needing to purchase a reliable, low mileage preowned vehicle. I wanted a BMW and was introduced to Kevan Chughtai at Autobaun in Ft Worth. He was fantastic and made a dreadful sutuation a quick, pleasant and do-able exercise. In just a couple of days the right car was found, a trade was agreed upon and the financing was in place, and I was driving my new car! Kevan went above and beyond expectations, was prepared, knowledgeable and availabe for all my concerns and questions. In addition, my service manager, Jason, BMW genius, Ken, and finance manager, Rachel, all did great jobs and made me feel special and well cared for. Best experience ever! Thanks to all.
Looking online found a 2007 Porsche 911. Made an appointment for a test drive. Upon arriving at the dealership I was met by Charles Graham, internet sales manager. He was very friendly. Asked for my driver’s license and insurance and handed me the keys to the car. He said go have fun. The test drive went well. Upon returning to the dealership, Charles met me and asked if I had any questions. We briefly chatted about the car. I loved it but wasn’t sure if I was ready to buy. There was no hard sales pitch by Charles. As I was getting ready to leave he took $500 off the asking price. That’s what I wanted to spend. Again no pressure and no haggling on the price. He offered me what I wanted for my trade in. I bought the 911. Update: after getting home with my new 911, I closed the convertible top. Several minutes later I noticed fluid leaking by both rear tires. I was able to get hold of Charles and he said he’d call me back. He called me back and ask that I bring the car back for service and the dealership will fix whatever is wrong with it. Took it back today and found out that both hydraulic actuators that operate the convertible top are leaking. They have ordered two new ones and I am not being charged. This car was bought “as is”and I’m very happy that Autobahn is fixing my car. I will be a customer for life. You don’t find customer service like that very often anymore.
Beware: Talked to one of the salesman Mr. Christensen. Said the car had a clean carfax (no accidents). I question that all four tires were Michelin. He said they were. Said the car was in super condition. He said they sell high end car and had a great reputation. The following Friday we drove up to the dealership: 1. Not all four tires were Michelin. 2. The car had damage on the back bumper and trunk lid. Both were filled with bondo. The paint job was terrible with overspray on the trunk lid chrome, signal light in additions to the rubber trunk seal. The bondo was done very poorly as you could see that it was done by a mobile lizard paint guy due to scatch marks and uneven bondo. After finally talking to the sales manager I got the price lower $575.00 knowing that there was damage on the car. Mr. Christensen said the damage could be repaired for $250.00 When I got home I took it to the local body shop. There was so much bondo in the rear bumper that we replaced it with a new one, repaired the trunk lid and repainted both of them. Total cost came up to $1700.00 to have it done correctly. When I text Mr. Christensen later after the repair he will not answer my multiple text. Because of that I would not recommend this dealership to ANYONE. They are simply not HONEST..........
I do not enjoy buying a car. I feel there is no way to know that I got the best possible deal, all the waiting and back and forth are a nightmare for me. That said, Jerry made the process so easy, relaxed and while I can never know, I feel like I got a good deal. To be a luxury dealership the showroom was very warm on both days I spent time there but that is the only negative I can offer about this experience. They did not beat me up over the warranty that usually is a beating on you to buy, I told him no and he moved on, really appreciate that. The most impressive thing to me of the entire experience is Jerry, my sales person. He has been as attentive after the sale as he was before. I don't know that I have ever experienced that buying a car and my last two purchases were Lexus. I highly recommend the dealership and especially Jerry. and I drove from near downtown Dallas ( I live about 20 blocks from BMW Dallas) and am happy I did.
Emailed the dealership about a pre-owned BMW. Jason got back to me quickly. Drove over to the dealership and took the vehicle for a drive. Quick negotiation process and closed the deal. Finance was great too. In and out rather quickly instead of wasting my time. Fast, friendly, professional.
