As a brand, Lotus was in an expansion phase coming out of the pandemic, so the majority of the process was non-communicative due to delays. When test drives became available, Charles invited me in for a drive. Additionally, he gave a tour the new Lotus facility as well as the Esoteric's on-site workshop. Charles continued to maintain correspondence throughout the 2-year production, which helped to alleviate the inherent uncertainty accompanying most car manufacturers at that time.
