I've bought several cars over the years and I've never had a great experience, until I went to Jeff Schmitt Mitsubishi. I'd been waffling on whether or not to buy a new car for over a year because the co had a great experience, until I went to Jeff Schmitt Mitsubishi. I'd been waffling on whether or not to buy a new car for over a year because the cost of automobiles has gotten SO high. But a few days ago, I was driving past this dealership and noticed they had a beautiful red car sitting out front and though I'd never considered even buying a Mitsubishi, I looked this one up online when I got home. The more I looked into it, the more I felt this was the car for me, a 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport LE. I contacted the dealership and I've never had such a painless experience when buying a new car. I was greeted at the door by JB, one of their salespeople, and he wasn't a pushy salesperson at all. He allowed me to tell him what I was looking for, he answered every question I had, and I could tell he really did know what he was talking about and not just blowing sunshine up my skirt, and he was actually great to work with! The price was right on the car I chose, I got what I felt was a fair trade-in on my old car, and I'm very happy with my purchase. If you're looking for a new car, for a fair price, and a great salesperson to work with, come to this dealership and ask for JB. You won't regret it! UPDATE: I felt the need to update this after looking thru my paperwork today... AT the time of signing all the paperwork related to the sale, I came across two documents that showed I was paying $917 for Gap insurance (which I've NEVER needed before) and $2467 for an extended warranty I never asked for, nor did I want it. HOWEVER, as I was being rushed thru the signing, I asked about removing those two things as I didn't want to pay for them. I was told both were optional, but removing them wouldn't change my monthly payment and they were "essentially" free by Tim Muterspaw, the finance/business manager. (And I'm thinking I'm not spelling his name correctly, but it's eluding me at the moment.) First, okay, mea culpa, you got me. I didn't read the paperwork closely enough to catch that, but he actually said to me a couple of times when he trains new salespeople he tells them to never lie. AND HE LIED TO ME! He added $3384 to my sales contract and THAT'S Why I needed the Gap insurance! Had he not put those two items on the sales price, I wouldn't have needed the extra insurance. I actually had a pre-approval from CapOne when I walked in there and Tim told me he could beat the interest rate, and I told him to go ahead and see if he could. Had I stuck with my pre-approval, my monthly payment would be $35 less a month because it wouldn't include financing these two items that are PURE PROFIT for the dealership! I still recommend using JB as a salesperson, but get your financing taken care of BEFORE going there so Tim won't/can't lie to you and pad their profit margins, thus giving you a higher payment than you should have. More
This was the worst experience I have ever had with a car dealership in all my dealing. I drive 69 miles from Cols Oh. to purchase a car you advertised. I liked the car, and agreed to buy the car, I even said I would put money down to hold the car. Your people refuse, I showed then a pre-approval letter for financing from Telohio Credit Union. Telohio went through the process of finalizing the deal. I called on the way to get the down payment out of the bank your sales person to tell him I would be down to pick car up. He told me someone else was the there looking at the car. I told him I wanted it and all that I'D went through to purchase that vehicle. He told me if these people wanted the car he'd sell it to them and that the way you do business. Shame on the way you do business. This was a very disappointing experience, maybe this can be blamed on the Pandemic also. Trust has gone out the window. More
This is my 3rd purchase through Jeff Schmitt Mitsubishi. A 2014 lancer, 2015 Mirage, and now a 2019 Outlander Sport. I worked with Ebon as my Salesman, Zack as the Finance manager and after also working wit A 2014 lancer, 2015 Mirage, and now a 2019 Outlander Sport. I worked with Ebon as my Salesman, Zack as the Finance manager and after also working with Aaron the Sales manager. They were able to work out an excellent deal for this new car purchase. I HIGHLY recommend Jeff Schmitt Mitsubishi for your next New/Used car purchase. I’ve only ever purchased new, but I couldn’t be more happier with the outcome and experience of each purchase. If I were to move out of state I would venture back to Fairborn on my next new car purchase. I currently live an hour from Fairborn. More
