The available plug-in hybrid powertrain provides a useful amount of all-electric range too. The XC90 might just be the easiest choice outside of something from Germany,'' Edmunds writes. The critics noticed this one! Car and Driver Editors' Choice Award -- The XC90 T8 (plug-in hybrid) was recognized for its ''effortless hybrid performance, luxurious interior, and classic design''. It was one of eight Volvo models to receive this award, highlighting the brand's overall excellence.
