The charging time for the LEAF depends on the method used. for instance, plugging in to a 120-volt household-style power outlet can add a few miles of range per hour or reach a full charge in about 2.5 days. This is referred to as a Level 1 charge, and it's helpful to use in an emergency, but it's not practical long term. A better option is a 240-volt outlet or Level 2 public charging station, which can fully charge the LEAF S and its 40-kWh battery in eight hours and the LEAF SV Plus and its 60-kWh battery in around 12 hours. For the quickest charge, you'll need to plug in at a DC Fast-Charging station. These Level 3 public chargers can recoup an 80% charge in 40 minutes to an hour. It is important to note, however, that the LEAF requires a CHAdeMO connection for DC charging, whereas most other EVs have adopted the more common CCS connector. These plugs aren't interchangeable, so this could limit your fast-charging options. With its odometer now hovering around 11,060, it is STILL COVERED under the balance of the factory BUMPER-TO-BUMPER warranty until December 2025 or 36,000 miles (whichever occurs first)!
