Just arrived is this electricity-powered, NO-ACCIDENT, ONE-OWNER, OFF-LEASE, NONSMOKER 2022 Volkswagen ID.4 Pro S! It won some awards! MotorWeek Driver's Choice Award: The ID.4 won this award in 2022 for its performance, technology, and value. It won again in 2024. Autotrader's 10 Best Electric Vehicles: The ID.4 was named to this list for 2022. SEMA Award for Electric Vehicle of the Year: The ID.4 won this award in 2022, the first year it was given out. CarBuzz Save The Planet Award: The ID.4 won this award in 2021 for its fuel-saving technology, performance, and style. This all-electric SUV boasts balanced ride quality, a capable powertrain, generous passenger and cargo room, AND impressive real-world range and electrical efficiency! There were a few changes for the ID.4 coming from the previous model year. First up is a slight boost to the ID.4's maximum range on a full charge. The EPA estimates the 2022 model will go 2-20 miles farther than its first year, depending on the trim level. Edmunds ran a rear-drive ID.4 on their real-world range loop on a 100% battery charge (a charge of 80% is recommended for daily use), and it went a total of 287 miles and consumed less energy than its official rating at just 28.8 kWh per 100 miles. That's just marginally less efficient than a Nissan LEAF and an admirable result for a vehicle that's quite a bit bigger. The ID.4 is also capable of slightly higher DC fast-charging speeds than before, which means you should be able to spend less time at one of these rapid chargers, assuming you're connected to one of the appropriate power output. Finally, VW says it has simplified the charging procedure at Electrify America stations. This is welcome news as many have previously found the process to be oddly cumbersome considering that VW owns Electrify America. How Long Does It Take to Charge the ID.4? Using a 11-kW Level 2 public or home charger, it takes around 7.5 hours to completely charge the ID.4. It takes 11.5 hours with a 7.2-kW Level 2 charger. with a DC Fast Charger, you can take the ID.4 from a 5% charge to an 80% charge in 38 minutes. How Long Will the ID.4 Battery Last? Many conditions affect the battery's life span, so it's hard to verify its longevity. The VW ID.4's battery is covered with an eight-year/100,000-mile warranty. VW states that the battery will retain at least 70% of its original capacity by the end of this warranty period. With its odometer now hovering around the 61,582 mile-mark, it's got a long road ahead! Standard driver safety aids for the this ID.4 are combined into a package called IQ.Drive, and they include: Rearview camera Forward collision warning Forward automatic emergency braking Pedestrian detection Blind-Spot monitoring Rear cross-traffic alert Lane-departure warning Lane-keep assist Adaptive cruise control Front and rear parking sensors Automatic high-beam headlights Traffic-sign recognition Highway driving assist Rain-sensing windshield wipers Pro models come with: 170-kW DC fast-charging capability Larger 12.9-inch touchscreen S models also include: Power tailgate with hands-free open and close functions LED adaptive headlights (swivel as you turn the steering wheel for better illumination in curves) Panoramic glass roof Power-adjustable front seats Heated steering wheel Driver's seat memory settings Full synthetic leather upholstery On the rear-drive version, you get one electric motor and an output of 201 horsepower. The rear-wheel-drive Pro S sports a 262-mile rating.
