Using a 11-kW Level 2 public or home charger, it takes around 7.5 hours to completely charge the ID.4. It takes 11.5 hours with a 7.2-kW Level 2 charger. with a DC Fast Charger, you can take the ID.4 from a 5% charge to an 80% charge in 38 minutes. How Long Will the ID.4 Battery Last? Many conditions affect the battery's life span, so it's hard to verify its longevity. The VW ID.4's battery is covered with an eight-year/100,000-mile warranty. VW states that the battery will retain at least 70% of its original capacity by the end of this warranty period. With its odometer now hovering around the 61,582 mile-mark, it's got a long road ahead!
