Powertrain & Performance Engine: It is powered by the proven and capable 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine. This engine produces 300 horsepower and 264 lb-ft of torque. Drivetrain: The defining feature of the GT is its active all-wheel-drive system. This system is primarily rear-wheel drive for a classic muscle car feel but can automatically send power to the front wheels when it detects loss of traction. It also includes a sport mode that sends a balanced amount of power to all four wheels for better grip during spirited driving. Transmission: It comes paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission (TorqueFlite 8) that features smooth shifts and can be manually controlled via steering-wheel-mounted paddles. Performance: While not a tire-shredding V8, the V6 provides more than adequate power for daily driving and merging, with a 0-60 mph time in the low 6-second range. The AWD system provides incredible confidence in poor weather conditions. 2. Exterior Design & Stature The GT trim is designed to look more aggressive than the base SXT, borrowing styling cues from its bigger V8 brothers.
