The sole powerplant for the Vette is a direct-injected 6.2L V8 making a healthy 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque which propels the Corvette to 60 mph in an Earth-shattering 2.8 seconds. Suspension is handled thanks to a fully independent SLA double wishbone system with forged upper and cast aluminum L-shaped lower control arms dampened with 46mm monotube shocks. The Corvette is available in either coupe or convertible form with a folding hard top. The chief difference, of course, is the automatic drop top, which can be controlled by either the key fob or a button on the dash. It can be lowered at speeds up to 30 mph.
