Alpine White Over Black Leather and Alcantara, 6-Speed Manual w/Frozen Gold Wheels, Fitted With CarBahn Suspension Upgrades. In 2011, BMW debuted the 1M coupe - if you looked at the specs on paper, this was little more than a parts bin car, thrown together utilizing bits from other cars in BMWs lineup as a way to bring a bit more excitement to the 1-Series chassis. What BMW was not expecting was that this limited-run car was going to get them more positive press than almost anything the Motorsport division had developed in recent years. So, as the 1-Series was phased out in favor of the new 2-Series, BMW knew that an M2 was always going to be on the table - and instead of just making one variant of the M2, they developed 3. When the standard M2 debuted, it was revered for its fun, tail-happy dynamics, but some felt it could use some more power. In 2018, the M2 Competition followed which was even better, but the pinnacle came in 2020 with the ultra-limited production M2 CS. Once the CS landed in the hands of journalists, word quickly spread that this was one of, if not the best-driving BMW in decades, and any example not already spoken for was scooped up in short order. This 2020 BMW M2 CS is a nearly new example, showing less than 2,200 miles at the time of cataloging. Sold new at BMW of Westlake in Westlake, OH, this example has been under the care of two owners and benefits from a few upgrades from well-respected providers that take the car to the next level. Finished in Alpine White, this car looks stunning thanks to the original owner optioning the 19 Style-763M wheels in Frozen Gold, which provides outstanding contrast. The car sits a bit lower than stock thanks to a coilover kit from CarBahn that allows for greater adjustability but retains the switchable Electronic Damper Control inside the cabin. In typical BMW M fashion, a gloss carbon fiber roof panel moves the center of gravity down and lightens the vehicle, and gloss carbon is also fitted to the side view mirrors, rear decklid spoiler, and lower rear diffuser. The M2 CS's interior is similar to the M2 Competition, featuring a combination of leather and Alcantara, accented with red stitching throughout the cabin. The dashboard trim proudly presents a unique CS logo, stitched in red, while the M-Performance seats pay tribute to the classic tri-color M-Stripes first found in the E36 M3. The uncomplicated 3-spoke steering wheel is encased in Alcantara, providing a comfortable grip and ensuring a secure hold during spirited driving. BMW has incorporated various innovative methods to reduce the M2 CS's weight, such as a carbon fiber transmission tunnel that saves 6 pounds compared to the standard model. Additional weight reduction is accomplished by eliminating the center armrest and rear air conditioning vents. Powering the M2 CS is an enhanced variant of the S55 twin-turbocharged Inline-6 found in the M2 Competition. The CS benefits from the addition of the ECU out of an M4 Competition, bumping power from 405 to 444 but with a more exciting power curve meant to make you work for the performance rather than offer up a flat torque curve just off idle. Available with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT gearbox, the ultimate M2 CS configuration features the 3-pedal option found in this car. Under the hood, a large carbon fiber brace gives the car extra chassis rigidity and looks absolutely stunning, complimenting the extra carbon bits sprinkled around the exterior of the CS. At EAG, we think that the M2 CS is one of the most thrilling cars BMW has built - ever. Frequently when cars become track specials they become too uncompromising to really enjoy on the road but every single change BMW made with this car improves the driving experience, without giving up the street-ability the company built its name on.
