Old-School Simplicity in a High-Tech WorldIn 2019, the F-150 was also available with twin-turbo EcoBoost V6s and a diesel. But a lot of truck buyers specifically chose the 5.0 V8 because:No turbos = less long-term maintenance complexity.Linear throttle feel and better seat of the pants response.Naturally aspirated torque curve = consistent, predictable towing behavior.3.
