This setup allows for an all-electric range of approximately 153 miles, with the range extender providing additional mileage when the battery is depleted, extending the total range to about 200 miles The 2019 i3 REX achieves an EPA-estimated 31 MPG on gasoline alone. When operating on electricity, it delivers a combined 100 MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent Charging the i3 REX takes about 5 hours using a 240-volt Level 2 charger. The vehicle features a start/stop system to enhance fuel efficiency.
