Model History: Continuing the longstanding tradition of gradual improvement, Porsche announced the 991-generation 911 in 2011 to replace the well-regarded 997. As has become typical, the new model brought additional power, drivability, and comfort to a vehicle well-known for its daily-drivable performance. The facelifted variant, the 991.2, was released in 2016. In addition to a series of small exterior detail changes, the new version of the 911 brought twin-turbochargers to the Carrera trim levels, with the base model's 3.0 liter now producing 370hp and 331lb-ft of torque.
