Fast Out Of State Shipping Available..What the reviews say..Unique retro styling, nimble handling. The Mini Cooper Clubman made its debut in the 2007 model year, and the sportier and more powerful Clubman S joined the lineup for 2016. This second-generation Clubman is a whopping 10.9 inches longer than the four-door Mini Hardtop, at 168.3-inches in overall length, on a four-inch longer wheelbase. The first-generation models two-door body has been replaced with a four-door configuration, while in back, the barn door-style access doors recalling the original Austin Mini Clubman remain. The new model also is 2.9-inches wider than the first-generation Clubman, though at 56.7 inches tall, about half an inch taller, it is still a small station wagon rather than a crossover or SUV. One other major change is that the second generation is available with All4 all-wheel-drive as well as the standard front-wheel-drive. The Clubman S steps up the game with a 189-horsepower 2.0-liter twin-turbo inline-four that generates a healthy 207 pound-feet of torque. It's available with a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic. Both versions come with standard front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive. But despite the second-generation Clubmans extra size and weight, Mini has maintained the sharp steering and nimble responses for which the brand is known. A Drive Mode Select system in the Clubman S adds brake-based torque vectoring. The large circular gauge in the center of the original 1960s British Motor Corporation Mini housed a tachometer. In the second-generation Clubman, its home to the infotainment center. The significantly larger new Clubman moves the model from the previous-generation's subcompact into the compact segment, and the rear seats now offer decent accommodations and fold down to provide up to 47.6 cubic feet of cargo space. There is much comfort to be found inside the Clubman, with no shortage of plush padded surfaces and more room than before for passengers to stretch out. f you like the idea of a Mini but need extra room for passengers or gear, check out the 2017 Mini Cooper Clubman. This years availability of Minis ALL4 all-wheel-drive system will be attractive to drivers in cold-weather states. We were pleased to find the latest Mini Clubman is still fun and engaging. Its quiet, with little wind noise at speed, and even the engine growl at full throttle is nicely subdued. Refinement, such as comfort and interior materials, reflects the brands premium status. The Clubmans longer wheelbase helps contribute to a surprisingly smooth highway ride. Minis standard manual transmission remains a delight, and the optional automatic is smooth and refined. The standard 3-cylinder Clubman has adequate acceleration, while the Cooper S Clubman with its turbocharged 4-cylinder is downright quick. If you opt for all-wheel drive, we suggest stepping up to an S model.
