About Josh Stacy â Owner of Trade Guru At 33 years old, while working for the Sheriff Department, I had yet another frustrating car-buying experienceâand that was the last straw. I knew there had to be a better way. I wanted to build a different kind of car companyâone rooted in Christian values, honesty, and transparency. Our faith guides everything we do. Iâm a Veteran of the United States Air Force, Husband, Father of two miracle kids, courageous churchman, seminary student, patriot, and a believer in old-fashioned business practices: a handshake should still mean something, and your word should count. I set out to offer high-quality used cars without the gimmicks and games that give this industry a bad name. Turns out, I wasnât alone. People were hungry for a car-buying experience they could trust. By staying true to our values and treating people right, we grew our small business into the largest independent dealership in the State of Indiana! In late 2018, my wife and I sold that business in Indiana and moved to Florida to be closer to familyâwith a dream to replicate that same model here. With the Lordâs wisdom and help, we did it. Our business is called Trade Guru because we specialize in new car trade-insâvehicles people traded simply because they wanted something new, not because something was wrong. Thatâs a huge distinction from cars bought at auctions, where history can be murky and quality is hit or miss. Here in Florida, we focus on low-mileage, one- to two-owner vehiclesâespecially from high-end, local luxury dealerships. These are the kinds of cars that were originally purchased for $40,000 to $90,000 and meticulously maintained.
