The 2016 Honda Accord Sport (4-cylinder) is the fun-look mid-trim model that builds upon the base LX with more athletic styling, upgraded features, and a slightly peppier powertrain. Under the hood it uses a 2.4-liter direct-injected i-VTEC four-cylinder engine rated at about 189 horsepower. On the outside, the Sport adds more aggressive visual cues: 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights and LED fog lights, side skirts, a rear deck lid spoiler, chrome dual exhaust finishers, and body elements that give a low, sporty stance. Mirrors have integrated turn signal indicators, and the door handles get chrome accents.Inside, the Sport trim steps up from the LX with cloth-and-leatherette (leather-combin surfacing) seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, aluminum pedals, a power driver seat with lumbar support, and a 60/40-split folding rear seat (instead of a fixed rear bench). Technology upgrades include a premium audio system (with more speakers/subwoofer), the Honda LaneWatch blind-spot display system, a one-touch power moonroof, push-button start with proximity key entry, remote engine start (on CVT models), and dual-zone automatic climate control.The Sport also features upgraded brakes and suspension tuning more oriented toward handling, plus a freer-flowing exhaust system that contributes both to its added power and its sportier exhaust note.
