Source: Edmunds * In 2014, the Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class may have four door handles, but it owns a coupe alias due to its extended hood, narrow side windows, and flash fastback rear end. The exterior features 18-inch, five-spoke alloy wheels, and a subtle, lip-type rear spoiler. Also, the beautiful big-star grille and signature roofline accentuate the CLS-Class exterior. At the touch of a button, the tinted glass sunroof tilts up at the rear for ventilation. Bi-Xenon headlamps help deliver greater visibility than halogen headlamps, and full LED is also available. Adaptive high-beam assist and the electromechanical steering system even out this luxury ride as it holds corners with great stability and nimble response time. The CLS-Class runs on a 4.7L twin-turbo V8 engine with a seven-speed automatic transmission. New for 2014, the AMG model boasts changes including increased horsepower and standard 4MATIC AWD. The new high-performance S trim also increases its pony ride up to 577hp. On the inside, hand-polished wood trim graces the full-length console, dash and doors, lending the cockpit a further air of refinement.
