Seller's Comments

Offered for sale is a truly rare piece of modern Pontiac history: a 2005 Pontiac Bonneville GXP, finished in a beautiful Gray exterior over a matching gray leather interior. This exceptional example stands out not only for its desirable specifications, but also for its very low mileagehaving traveled just 74,272 miles since newand the added distinction of being a 1-owner vehicle with a CLEAN CARFAX, verifying its clean background. It also comes equipped with the sought-after factory sunroof package ($1,100.00), adding a premium touch to an already well-optioned performance sedan. The 2005 Bonneville GXP marks the final evolution of Pontiacs longest-running full-size nameplate. As the lastand most powerfulBonneville ever made, the GXP was produced for only two model years (2004 and 2005), with approximately 6,300 units built in total, making it a notably low-production car. The 2005 model brought with it a number of refinements, including revised calibration for its 4.6-liter Northstar V8 engine and a more resolved suspension tuning. This 32-valve, dual overhead cam V8 delivers 275 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque, routed through a Hydramatic 4T80-E automatic transmission. It was the first eight-cylinder engine in a Bonneville since 1986, and the first 32-valve engine in Pontiacs history. Power delivery is strong and smooth, with a 060 time in the mid-six second rangerespectable for any full-size sedan of its time and still impressive today. Unlike earlier Bonneville SSEi models that used a supercharged V6, the GXP offered something entirely differenta naturally aspirated Northstar V8 driving the front wheels, giving it unique appeal in a market saturated with rear-wheel drive options. The final drive ratio of 3.7:1 is among the most aggressive in its class, helping deliver responsive acceleration while retaining the long-legged cruising comfort expected from a full-size American sedan. The engine employs features such as polymer-coated pistons, coil-on-plug ignition, and durable timing chains for smooth operation and mechanical longevity. Chassis tuning for the GXP was extensively engineered, with Pontiac spending over 1,000 hours refining the suspension geometry and damping characteristics. DeCarbon monotube dampers, progressive-rate springs, and large stabilizer bars (30mm front / 22mm rear) work in concert with increased front-end rigidity, achieved through a tower-to-tower brace and a specially dampened engine cradle. The result is a big sedan that remains composed and confident even when pushed, with StabiliTrak stability control providing subtle assistance without overriding driver intent. Its a unique blend of touring comfort and responsive handling, rarely matched in this segment. Inside, the Bonneville GXP presents a driver-focused layout with a sporty, high-tech feel. The gray leather seating surfaces are accented with UltraLux suede inserts, and the seats themselves offer 12-way power adjustment with two-position memory. Accents include carbon fiber-style trim, satin nickel finishes, and stainless steel pedals. The gauge cluster features crisp white-faced dials with bright red needles, offering both clarity and an aggressive, performance-oriented aesthetic. The cabin delivers both visual character and ergonomic function, with Pontiac's signature flair from the era. As these vehicles age, examples like this onefeaturing low mileage, a single-owner history, factory equipment like the sunroof package, and a clean CARFAXare becoming increasingly hard to find, particularly given the limited production run of just two years. The Bonneville GXP represents the end of an era, combining Cadillac-derived engineering with Pontiacs sporting personality in a package that was never mass-produced or widely marketed. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire one of the most unique and capable front-wheel drive V8 sedans ever to wear the Pontiac badge. Its rarity, distinctive powertrain, and limited
