SVT stands for Special Vehicle Team, and Ford put out all kinds of fun stuff on the SVT line. From 1991-2015, SVT was a performance arm of Ford, like Audi's S-line. It built weird things like a Focus from 02-04 and put proper meaning behind the 2010-14 Raptors. Larger output from stock engines and transmissions was the SVT specialty. The Cobra was debuted in 1993 and pushed until 2007, when Ford returned to Shelby to produce the GT500. Power output on the 2001 model year increased from 260 hp for the Mustang GT to 320.
