1996 Porsche 911

The 993-generation 911 GT, a homologated production version of Porsche's modern GT2 racing vehicle, is the model that Speed Gallery of North Hollywood, California customized this 1996 Porsche 911 Turbo coupe to resemble. It has been refinished in silver over a black leather interior and is driven by a 3.6-liter flat-six engine that is twin-turbocharged and mated to a six-speed manual transaxle. Rear-wheel drive instead of all-wheel drive, a whole body kit, lite glass installed, and changes made to the engine, suspension, and interior are just a few of the modifications. The battery needed to be replaced and the turbochargers needed to be serviced. 52k miles are shown on this homage 993 Turbo GT2. Originally black, the vehicle was refinished in GT Silver Metallic after modifications that included welding and sealing the sunroof into a solid roof panel, removing the rear wiper, adding a turn-signal repeater, adding a rear spoiler/wing, installing a front bumper and three-piece lip in the style of the 911 GT, and fitting front and rear lightweight glass. Michelin Pilot Sport tires measuring 235/40 and 315/30 are installed on replica Speedline 18-inch wheels. In addition to adding Speed Yellow calipers, the brake pads and rotors were changed. A Bilstein PSS10 coilover kit, along with new wheel carriers, uprights, spindles, spacers, bearings, RS sway bars, drop links, camber plate, and springs, are used to modify the suspension to GT2 specs. Recaro Pole Position black leather seats, GT2-embroidered floor mats, unique door panels, a 911 GT shifter and pedals, and special leather trim with yellow stitching are all included inside. Power windows, a Porsche Classic radio, and yellow seatbelts are also features of the interior. The instruments, which feature auxiliary gauges, a tachometer with a redline of 6,600 rpm, and a 200 mph speedometer, are fronted by an airbag steering wheel. According to reports, the 3.6-liter flat-six twin-turbocharged engine has been modified to 911 GT specs, adding a secondary oil cooler, upgraded engine mounts, and K24 turbochargers. During the refurbishment, the fuel regulator, belts, gaskets, tensioner, timing chain, timing-chain guides, valve-cover gaskets, MAF sensor, ignition, cap, rotor, spark plugs, plug wires, sensors, O-rings, and engine mounts were all replaced as part of an engine-out service. The battery was changed, the oil was changed, the turbochargers were serviced, and the fuel injectors were cleaned and checked. The 911 Turbo was transformed from all-wheel drive to rear-wheel drive by inserting a GT2 rear differential, capping the upgraded six-speed manual transmission, and removing the front differential. The clutch's hydraulic power aid was turned off, and new lines, linkages, and hardware were installed to upgrade it to 911 GT specifications.
