Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this legendary 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS. Production only lasted a few years, but the Impala SS rocked the American performance car market. The days of a full size muscle car had long since past, but Chevrolet brought it back with vengeance. The Super Sport Impalas of the 1960s are some of the most sought after muscle cars ever manufactured and GM was wise to bring the model back in a time when car sales were abysmal. The plan worked. This low mile black beauty has been garage kept for years. Unlike most SS Impalas on the market today, this one is bone stock right down to the exhaust. Powered by the 5.7l 260hp LT1, the tough looking sedan could run the quarter mile in a respectable fifteen seconds which wasnt bad for a car weighing 4,000 pounds. Do you leave it original or take it down a custom path? Either way, youll have a killer ride to work with. The Impala SS cars have a huge following, and in this condition this Super Sport wont last long.
