Seller's Comments
Duffy's is proud to offer this 1995 Ford Mustang Cobra R. This car is number 204 out of 250 ever made, and is powered by a 5.8 Liter V8 engine producing 300 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque. and is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. This car was good for 5.2 seconds from 0-60 when new. The legendary 5.0L engine was replaced with a 351 cubic-inch Windsor pumped up to 300 Horsepower! The Cobra R was also equipped with a 20-gallon Fuel Cell and an upgraded two-row aluminum radiator. In addition, SVT installed an oil cooler and a water-to-air power steering cooler. Ductwork was placed where the fog lights were to get cool air to the large 13 front brakes! Ford also installed thicker sway bars in the front and the rear for better handling when racing this Cobra like it was made to do. The standard T-5 Transmission was replaced with the stronger Tremec TR-3550. With the changes SVT made to the Cobra, the R variant was nearly 7 MPH faster and a full second quicker in the Quarter Mile according to a Motortrend test. The top-of-the-line Snake also generated a tick under 1g in lateral grip at 0.96g. For comparison sake, the 2012 Boss 302 Laguna Seca had a lateral grip of 1.01g. The Cobra R was and is pretty special! The vehicle was only ever offered in one color, Crystal White. Of the 250 Cobra Rs produced, all came with Black/Saddle Tan two-tone interior with Cloth Seats. To save weight, the back seat, radio, air conditioner, power seat/windows, and fog lights were all removed. Even most of the sound-deadening material was removed! Why? Because racecar! These subtractions accounted for approximately a 30 lbs. diet compared to the 5.0L Cobra cars. Recent service items include a new fuel pump, new fuel cell, and new tires. The car is accompanied with original window sticker, SVT certificate, and the Marti Report. As always, we will consider all types of trades and transportation is available. Why buy from us?
