Following up on the beautiful Spider 1750 Veloce of the late 1960s, Alfa Romeo released what is surely the famous marque?s definitive sports car, the Spider 2000, in 1969. Retaining its predecessor's projectile-like body styling by Pininfarina, the svelte and sexy Spider 2000 featured an aero-efficient Kamm tail and the formerly recessed headlamps were now uncovered. Powering the 2000 Spider was Alfa Romeo?s great-sounding DOHC 2.0-liter 'four' delivering heady top speeds approaching 125 mph. By 1976, the model name was updated to ''Spider Veloce'' and production continued with detail updates and stylistic and interior refinements steadily made through 1992. Unlike many competitors, the Spider Veloce and its eventual companion models (Graduate and Quadrifoglio) successfully navigated the rapidly changing times and regulatory demands of the 1970s and 1980s, seemingly defying time throughout a lengthy production run.EXCEPTIONALLY RARE ''ALL BLACK'' LIVERY
