This incredibly rare Durango comes finished in a striking Red exterior over a Maroon interior and shows 63,935 miles on the odometer. Powering this unique vehicle is a 5.0L V8 paired with an automatic transmission with overdrive and geared to a durable Ford 9-inch rear end. The vehicle has undergone a complete exterior restoration and presents very well throughout. Notable features include four-wheel disc brakes, vintage heat and air with ice cold air conditioning, Edelbrock valve covers, 5-lug Mustang wheels, crank windows, a dual aftermarket stereo system, carpeted bed area, and chrome front and rear bumpers. Everything functions as it should and the vehicle remains a very clean and well-kept example. The Ford Durango is an exceptionally rare vehicle with only 212 produced, making this example a highly collectible and unusual piece of Ford history. Drive this one out of our showroom or have us assist with shipping it to you anywhere in the United States! Don't hesitate to call us with any questions or for more information. The Ford Durango was a limited-production vehicle created by National Coach Works in Los Angeles, California and was produced from 1979 through 1982. Based on the Ford Fairmont Futura platform, the Durango was essentially a coupe utility conversion that blended the style of a passenger car with the practicality of a small pickup-style cargo bed. Ford dealers could order the Fairmonts and have them converted by National Coach Works, resulting in a very small production run. Because of the limited production numbers and unique design, the Durango has become a sought-after collector vehicle among Ford enthusiasts and those who appreciate rare specialty vehicles from the era.
