1978 Mercedes-Benz 300CD

Stunning 1978 Mercedes-Benz 300CD W123 coupe (C123) in superb condition. This is a beautiful classic Mercedes in stunning shape. 
This car cost $25,000 new in 1978 which adjusted for inflation is about $126,000 in today's money. There was no better-built car in the world at the time. This car was built to a standard that has never been equaled before or since. The 3.0L inline-5 diesel engine is known to be one of the most durable engines ever built, with many examples reaching 500,000 miles before overhaul. 
We have the entire history of this car going back to new. We have the original factory production paperwork (written in German) from when the car was built. There is a huge stack of all service receipts and records dating from 1978 (brand new) up to 1996 when the car stopped being daily-driven. The Mercedes service booklet is filled with all dated service records and scheduled maintenance performed by the Mercedes-Benz dealer. And in addition, there is a hand-written notebook by the owner for every service, maintenance and even paint waxing done to the car from 1978 thru 1996. After 1996 the car became an occasional vehicle, though it has been garage-kept since new. We have recent service records for the car as well.
We have all the original books and manuals, factory parts/service manual plus the original unopened first-aid kit. 
This 300CD drives incredibly well. The 3.0L diesel engine starts up perfectly. The transmission shifts smoothly and the steering, brakes, suspension, and all mechanical components are in excellent working order. This is a totally reliable and trustworthy vehicle- I would trust this car to drive cross-country.
This car has an incredible level of equipment including fuel-injected diesel engine, 4-speed automatic transmission, power sunroof, cruise control, automatic climate control with A/C, power windows, central power locking, plus outstanding safety features.
Stunningly beautiful paint, body and exterior in English red. The interior is indestructible MB-Tex upholstery in beige. This car is Incredibly well-preserved and well-kept inside and out. This car has only the most minor wear and it is completely amazing for a nearly 50 year old vehicle.
