1977 VOLKSWAGEN SUPER BEETLE CONVERTIBLE Serial Number: 1572044234 Presented here is a delightful bright blue 1977 Volkswagen Super Beetle convertible. It is a true eye catcher and is in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition. The current owner purchased it in 1996 and has lovingly babied it ever since. Significant work has been done to maintain and improve this vehicle to its present condition. The original engine was replaced with a stock 1979 1600 cc EFI motor prior to the current owner purchasing the car in 1996. Additionally, the vehicle has been repainted in the correct factory blue, the convertible top is new, as are new interior carpeting and seat covers. Original parts including bumpers and headlamp rings have been rechromed, the frame rails and the floor pan have been replaced with rust free parts, and the front brakes have been upgraded to discs. Also the sound system has been upgraded to a Sony MEA-XB-100BT Bluetooth system and chrome wheels have been added. The car comes with complete service records since 1996. The oil and filter were changed in November, 2024, just before it was put in storage. The Continental Pro Contact tires are approximately four years old and have been driven less than 10,000 miles. Odometer reads 66,716, but at one point it was replaced so mileage is TMU (True Mileage Unknown). A kill switch and a battery tender come with the car. This Beetle has been stored each winter and driven primarily on warm, sunny days with the top down. It has been driven with love and has not been abused.
