It was in the aftermath of this incident that Colonel Mike Parker, longtime president of the Smoky Mountain Regional PCA (and progenitor of the revived Tennessee Porsche Club from which it was born) acquired this Carrera; he had been besotted with the car after watching it in competition some years before. Persuaded by his PCA colleagues to leave the scandalous brand on the drivers door instead of repainting the car as he intended, Parker and his now-wife, Suzan Bowman, took great pleasure in driving the car all around the United States and in PCA autocross themselves (with great success) for nearly a decade before an HVAC blower motor fire took the car off the road in 1993. It was subsequently parked under a carport and left wrapped in a series of car covers until Parker made Shannon Harper and his team aware of its survival in 2023. After negotiating the purchase of the vehicle, Harper Porsche embarked on restoring the vehicle from the ground up in the 2024 Porsche Classic Restoration Challenge. Dont miss out on the chance to own a very special well documented, completely restored Aubergine over Russet 1975 Carrera 2.7. Countless photos and documents accompany the vehicles history, including the original window sticker. This Carrera 2.7 is currently a part of a large Porsche Classic collection. Asking $225,000.
