1970 Jaguar S-2, XKE 4.2 fixed head coupe Must see 17 year, phenomenal restoration of iconic 1970 Jaguar S-2, XKE 4.2 fixed head coupe, designed originally for racing. Restoration was completed in 2020. There were only 3785 of these vehicles individually hand produced and sold worldwide between 1970 and 1972. A very limited number of fixed head coupes were made and imported into the United States. During the restoration over 1,122 new parts were installed on this S-2, 4.2, XKE. Over 100 pages of invoices covering all of the parts and work performed are documented in a hard cover binder. The engine was rebuilt T&T Engines of Benton, Illinois, which specializes in rebuilding Jaguar engines for racing. This E-Type was given approximately 50 more horses along with a new triple S-U carburetor with linkage and large air filter. The engine now has over 200hp with less than 1,000 miles on it since restoration. This Jaguar is in top notch condition. The paint is Prim Rose, candy-looking with a professional ceramic finish.
