The Ford Mustang needs no introduction as one of the most iconic classics of all time, has been in continuous production since 1964 making it the longest-produced Ford car nameplate. This particular Mustang is an extremely well documented car with every owner being known with copies of title transfers. The paperwork on this car is pretty incredible with most service history dating way back. It also has the original window sticker and production options with prices. The Marti report indicates that this is a one of 146 Mustangs outfitted like this with the 390 engine. It was ordered in 8-13-68, built on 3-6-68 and sold on 10-28-68 out of Costello Kunze Ford out of Jennings, MO. There has been a total of 6 owners with the longest being the 4th owner from 4-30-79 through 2021. There was an engine rebuild done April 1999 and a body on cosmetic restoration done May, 2018 and transmission rebuild in 2022. In 2023, brakes, power steering, control arms, alternator, power steering and carb service. The power convertible top operates well and has no issues. The car starts, runs and drives down the road nicely, the paint is good, not perfect but good driver quality. The interior is nice with the front seats needing a re-padding. This is a pretty nice, rare unit for your consideration.
