* One-of-a-kind bespoke Eleanor Tribute Build * Less than 50 miles since being built * Motor Cars LA is delighted to be able to offer for sale this stunning 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback which has been designed and built to create a contemporary 'Eleanor' style Fastback with a multitude of modern features and running gear.In mid-2022, (after having sold several 'Eleanor' tribute vehicles) we wanted to work with a team who could share our vision and create a truly one-of-a-kind example of this iconic vehicle. To this end, we partnered with Lonestar Brothers in Dallas, Texas, to bring this stunning 1968 Fastback back to life and present it for sale today, capable of standing out in any crowd!The donor vehicle was a very solid 1968 Ford Mustang 2-Door Fastback which was produced in the San Jose plant and originally left the factory with a 289ci V8 engine, three-speed manual transmission and finished in Lime Gold over an Ivy Gold Vinyl interior Built with a full-steel, long-nose body, hundreds of hours were spent perfecting the final fit and finish with perfect panel gaps and a flawless Olive Green Metallic paintjob. The interior is a fully bespoke, tan leather offering which was crafted to fit into our fastback body, having been originally produced to fit a similar vintage Coupe. Power is supplied from a Gen 3, 5.0L V8 'Coyote' motor, (capable of producing 460hp) which is mated to a Ford 10R80, 10-speed automatic transmission. This power is put down to the road using an MTF Watts Full-Floating Rear Axel and controlled with Wilwood Disk Brkes all-around. Side mounted exhaust exits hide a sensational, fully custom built exhaust system that sounds absolutely incredible. 18' Rocket Racing Wheels are installed and wear Falken Azenis RT615K tires, (245/40R18 97W and 315/30R18 98W). The instrument cluster has been fully updated with Dakota Digital HDX full electronic gauges, air conditioning and heat are supplied by a Hurricane 'Old Air' system and sound comes from a Pioneer head unit with a bridgeable Four-Channel Power Amplifier and Subwoofer. Other convenience upgrades include a variable resistance Ididit Steering Column, a Banvie Keyless Entry System, (with remote trunk opening) LED front, rear and interior lighting and Hella Black Magic Spotlights have all been installed.This is a truly exceptional build that spanned over 18 months and in excess of 2,000-man hours of labor to complete.
