Mechanical
Ours has the powerful Pontiac Engine Code XV code 400 cubic inch V8 engine in it with a Holley Sniper Fuel Injection System upgrade now, with GMs Turbo Hydra-Matic TH400 automatic transmission underneath.
The engine now has about 325 horsepower and with the 10-bolt rear end and automatic transmission it is a smooth shifting car that is a blast to cruise down the road.
The engine compartment looks factory stock, except for the Sniper, and still retains the black painted factory air cleaner with the 400-4 decal, Pontiac blue painted engine block, heads, and intake, chrome valve covers, factory cast iron exhaust manifolds, power steering and brakes, and most other factory running gear.
Interior
Our Bonneville has a restored black bucket seat interior with the center console, matching rear bench seat and door panels, black carpet, chrome trim, and the great Pontiac padded dash with its full array of factory gauges, clock, Pontiac logo radio, and woodgrain trim, along with the factory Pontiac steering wheel.
It also has black seat belts, Power Steering and Power Brakes, the black power top, and black Pontiac logo floor mats.
Exterior
All GM B body cars of this time were restyled and given a lot of character. Swooping body lines, rakish fender lines and the Coke Bottle profile contributed to making this Bonneville one of the most popular body styles ever produced.
Ours is painted in Regimental Red after its Professional Frame-up restoration contrasted by the black power convertible top with chrome front and rear bumpers, sporty Pontiac 5-spoke mag wheels and white sidewall tires, new convertible top with glass window, replated bright work, and emits great exhaust sounds thru its dual exhaust too.
Conclusion
This 1967 Pontiac Bonneville frame-off restored Convertible we have here at Skyway Classics has a lot of originality with classic looks and performance and a killer combo of black interior and top with the great red paint to gain the attention anywhere you cr
