Four Barrel, Four-Speed and dual exhaust translate to 4-4-2 in Oldsmobile verbage. This was a option package for US sold Cutlass models and would become its own model from 1968 through 1971. The first generation Cutlass 4-4-2 (442) cars were built between 1964 and 1967 and would be a direct competitor within its own Company with the Pontiac GTO. Oldsmobile would begin with a 330 Cubic Inch V8 and then eventually a 400 Cubic Inch V8. This particular 442 has been tastefully upgraded when a full frame-off restoration was completed in 2017 and 2018. Nothing went untouched with this stunning automobile. Also in 2018 a new long block was ordered for the rebuild using a 455 Cubic Inch engine instead of a 400. It is finished in a beautiful red over a very clean black interior along with convertible top. Everything was gone through including wiring, convertible top mechanics, upgraded digital gauges, newer wheels and whatever else was needed to make this car really stand out. This 442 starts right up and sounds extremely healthy. It runs, drives and shifts really nicely and commands all the looks wherever it is on the road. This car comes with all of its receipts and documentation of the restoration showing nothing was left untouched. Everything is in good working order, there are no funky smells, rattles or leaks and is 100% ready to be enjoyed. We welcome any questions or pre purchase inspections.
