Seller's Comments
1967 Ford Mustang Custom Coupe Classic Ford Mustangs are great cars for lots of reasons, they look fantastic, are fun to drive and offer a tremendous amount of tuning options thanks to some of the most robust aftermarket support of any marque. This 1967 Mustang benefits from a comprehensive restoration, where it received a host of upgrades that make it go faster, stop better and look absolutely stunning. The previous owner undertook a comprehensive restoration in 2014, and a massive 3-ring binder with filled receipts from the previous owner and consignor's ownership. The 1967 Mustang notchback coupe is arguably one of the best looking Mustangs ever- perfectly merging the classically beautiful shape of the original car, with some of the wider, more angular designs seen in the up-and-coming muscle car era. This example has been finished in Porsche Baltic Blue, which is accented by a charcoal gray ghost stripe down the center of the car. The hood features an integrated carbon scoop in the style of the Mach-1, and a Shelby inspired grille features a pair of high-beam headlights placed in the center of the car. A set of modernized Torq-Thrust-style 18-inch US Mag wheels have been fitted that are wrapped in sticky Nitto rubber and hide 4-wheel Borgeson disc brakes behind them. What makes this build so appealing, is that the modifications and updates don't make themselves totally obvious, and everything was done with respect to the original car. For instance, on the interior, the bucket seats are custom- offering additional bolstering and better materials, and at first glance you may think they were original to the car. The center console has been updated with dual-cup holders and a Sony audio system, and the doors have received additional sound deadening to make the car far more pleasant on long drives. A Shelby-style wood wheel has been installed and frames a set of modern NVU digital gauges that give accurate readouts, but don't look out of place in the dash. Under the hood sits a 347ci stroker V8 with electronic ignition that has been blueprinted and dyno tuned to produce a verified 408 horsepower and 432 lb-ft of torque. A set of headers send the exhaust through a new stainless steel system that gives the car a great sound. Cooling is handled by an enlarged aluminum radiator, and both power steering and power brakes have been fitted. The engine sends its power through a 4-speed automatic gearbox, to a Ford 9-inch rear end with 3.83 gears- which offer the perfect combination of acceleration and easy highway cruising. Up front, a set of Ridetech coilovers allow for easy height adjustment of the suspension, and make dialing in the front end a much simpler job. This Mustang has been very nicely dialed in and all it takes is a quick trip around the block to see that it is a real joy to drive. Clearly built and refined by enthusiasts who know what they are doing, this car will make the perfect summer cruiser that could realistically be used every day. Th
