*1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Convertible*® In 1964, Ford debuted their Mustang and the striking coupe design changed the automotive landscape forever. With the Mustang came a new classification known as âpony carsâ and quickly the other American manufacturers began development on their own cars to compete in that segment. In September of 1966, Chevrolet unveiled the Camaro- with its more aggressive bodystyle and optional suite of Chevrolet V8s, the car became an immediate hit and remains one of the most sought after classic cars to this day. This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Convertible is a beautiful example that has been carefully upgraded for an improved driving experience and look.® Finished in Red with dual black stripes, this Camaro features a black power soft top. A verified real RS/SS, as a 1967 example, this is the most pure design for the Camaro and features sought after features like hidden headlights. The car sits on a set of chrome 5-spoke Torque-Thrust-Style mag wheels, which sit in front of a set of 4-wheel power disc brakes. The chrome bumpers are in excellent condition and a front air-dam gives the car a more aggressive look while a decklid spoiler balances it out at the rear.® The interior is wrapped in black vinyl with white detailing and is a very faithful recreation of what the carâs original interior would look like. A smaller-diameter 3-spoke steering wheel has been fitted which makes getting in and out easy, but the larger 3-spoke wheel with a wood rim is included in the sale. A factory-style center console is present, along with original looking gauges that include a tachometer. A Retro Sound radio has been installed that look period correct but features modern capabilities.® Sitting under the cowl induction hood is a 383ci V8 that produces approximately 460 horsepower. Open the hood and you are met by a host of chrome dress up parts, but what really matters is the Holley 650 CFM carburetor, ceramic coated headers, aluminum radiator with an electric fan, and MSD ignition system. This sends power through a 5-speed manual gearbox with a RAM clutch to the rear wheels via a 12-bolt rear end with 3.73 gears. Unlike many muscle car builds from the era, this car benefits from a number of suspension upgrades as well including Hotchkis frame connectors and traction bars, and a set of Bilstein shocks at all 4 corners.® With summer just around the corner, a first generation Camaro is the perfect usable classic, and this one is taken to the next level with its upgrades and convertible top. Offered in a classic color combination and with the work already done, this Camaro will put smiles on the face of its passengers and every person it passes on the street.® *Key Features* * Real RS/SS Camaro * 383ci Stroker V8 * Est. 460 Horsepower * MSD Ignition * Holley 650CFM Carb * Ceramic Coated Long-Tube Headers * Aluminum Heads * 5-Speed Tremec Manual Transmission * Ram Clutch * Power Soft Top * Power Steering * P
