Oldsmobile had won a reputation for itself at General Motors by leading the way in engineering breakthroughs, such as Hydra-Matric automatic transmission, first seen on the 1940 models, and the modern high compression Rocket V-8 engine that debuted in 1949. Debuting for 1961 the F-85 Cutlass was marketed as one of GMs upscale senior compacts. Related to the Buick Special and Pontiac Tempest, it was built on a highly innovative for its day unibody frame. This 63 convertible is quite a looker dressed in a stunning shade of blue with white roof. As you walk around the vehicle youll notice nice details like the front end bright work and intact trim pieces. Take a seat inside and youre greeted to a spacious and well appointed cabin. Eye catching blue vinyl really makes the interior pop and the gauges are set up well for driving. Under the hood is Oldsmobiles all-aluminum, 215 cubic inch Rockette V-8. Factory rated at a hearty 185hp and spinning with a compression ratio of 10.25:1 this was one advanced engine for the time. Backed by Oldsmobiles 3-speed hydromantic transmission imagine how this car can get up and go!
