1956 Porsche 356A Speedster ⢠VIN 82XXX ⢠Engine No. 62680 ⢠Transmission No. 11031 ⢠Porsche Kardex Highly sought-after T1 Speedster with beehive taillights, finished in a classic color combination of Silver Metallic over a Red interior. Matching drive line per Porsche Kardex. According to the Porsche Kardex, this T1 Speedster was imported by Hoffman Motors in New York. Factory options include Sealed Beam Headlights and a Speedometer calibrated in miles. The paintwork is in exceptional condition, with perfect gaps and panel alignment. The exterior trim, rubber seals, glass, and brightwork are all immaculate. The interior has been recently upholstered, featuring red Speedster seats with white piping, complemented by a black canvas soft top, boot cover, and oatmeal German square weave carpets. The dashboard presents a striking contrast to the VDO instrumentation with a VDM steering wheel. The painted 4 Ââ x 15â wheels are mounted to Vredestein Sprint Classic tires (date coded 2024). The undercarriage is solid, rust-free, and fully detailed, including the suspension components. European Collectibles removed the engine and transmission, and the undercarriage and suspension were stripped to bare metal and recoated to factory specifications. The transmission was completely rebuilt with new synchromesh and bearings. The engine compression was preformed, and the results were: 1)150, 2) 160, 3) 165, 4) 160. All of the engine sheet metal was removed and powder-coated, and all of the hardware was CAD-plated. New seals were installed, and any necessary brightwork was re-chromed. A complete new red interior was installed, with German Square weave carpet, a black canvas soft top, and a matching black boot cover. Lastly, all four wheels were bead-blasted and refinished per factory specifications. Powered by a 1600cc flat-four Normal engine producing 60 horsepower paired with a 4-speed manual transmission (Type 644) with a four-wheel drum braking system. Complete with a jack, tool
