1955 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria 1955 Fords were totally redesigned inside and out from the 1954 version, the bodies were longer, lower, and wider even though the 55 models used the same backlight speedometer first introduced in 1954, the rest of the instrument panel was new. A new Fairlane series replaced the Crestline as the top trim level. The contemporary interest in horsepower and speed was reflected in two new large overhead valve V-8 engines. The Fairlane series was the top trim level for 1955 and included chrome window and A pillar moldings, chrome eyebrows on the headlight doors and a chrome side sweep molding plus all custom line trim. Our example is a Fairlane Crown Victoria two-door hardtop, which includes the decorative chrome tiara band that wraps across the roof panel. Tropical Rose and Snowshoe White 2 tone colors that scream 1950s! Interior is OEM and factory correct with the pink and white two-tone theme carried throughout the passenger compartment as well. Just a gorgeous car that drives as good as it looks. Powered by the venerable 272 CI V-8 with four-barrel carburetor mated to a three-speed manual transmission, a strong runner to say the least. Our Crown Victoria is equipped with power steering, power windows, power seat, Panasonic stereo with tape deck, aftermarket temp and oil PSI gauges and more. Riding on a set of Coker classic wide white wall tires mounted on a set of chrome wire wheels that set it off nicely.
